I've shown you photos of the Mkomazi school bus before... but it was just a plain old white bus before.
Now look at it!!

The bus is decorated in the Tinga Tinga style of African painting and the images depict the black rhino living in the sanctuary, alongside the Mkomazi crew. Pupils that board the bus can learn how the animals and humans work together in Mkomazi.
The Mkomazi environmental education programme has now been launched and so far, two local schools, based on the outskirts of Mkomazi, have already visited the education centre in Mkomazi where they spent the day learning about endangered species and wildlife conservation. This gives the children their first chance to see animals such as the rhino up close. Many will never have seen rhino or elephant roaming in their natural habitat so their school outing aims to teach them how to help protect and work alongside these incredible animals.
The environmental education programme will see many schools from the entire district visiting Mkomazi for a special day's visit - a fun but educational day out for all of the pupils...

More about what the children will get up to on their school trip to Mkomazi will follow but for now, feast your eyes on the wonderful Mkomazi school bus...
Isn't it wonderfu?l!
